Hibrid doo was founded in the 1953 in the former Yugoslavia as an association for development and progress of corn and other agricultural crops. After several months of an expert training in the USA, the first groups of Yugoslav experts along with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Chamber of Commerce have decided to establish an Association that includes all agricultural scientific institutions, several great state agricultural combines and all agricultural Professional Services.
At the beginning, the Association was dealing with import, export and distribution of American corn seeds along with education of farmers. Through the Professional Service, they were trying to explain all the advantages of seeding hybrid seeds.
As the time passed by, the Association transformed itself into Company Hibrid.
Due to great experience in the hybrid production of seed corn, optimum climate, excellent type of soil, we have begun to export seeds on various markets with constant growth through year. At that time, we have begun to produce seeds for other foreign seed companies under official control of former Yugoslav Scientific Institutes as well as an agricultural Professional Services.
In the transition and privatization process, Hibrid Company has transformed itself in to company with limited liability (LLC).
